Job Comments allow members of the hiring team to communicate at the job level rather than within a single applicant file. They provide a central place for team discussion, updates, or notes related to the job itself.
Where can I add Job Comments?
Job Comments are found in the Activity tab of any job. Open a job, select History, and you’ll see the Comments section where you can add or review comments.
Note: This tabs used to be called the "History" tab, but has be updated to accommodate the new Job Comments section.

Yes, comments can be deleted by Admins. Under an admin account go to any comment in the Job Activity Tab, Applicant file, Onboarding New Hire File, or Job Requisition, and click the ellipsis. You will see a "Delete" option pop up, click "Delete", then "Yes" in the following pop up.
What type of comments can I add on the job level?
You can add two types of comments at the job level:
- Text comments – Add notes and tag individuals with their @handle, or notify the entire team using @hiringteam.
-
Voice comments – Record and save an audio comment directly in the Job Comments section.
How do notifications work for Job Comments?
Notifications for Job Comments follow the same rules as other @mentions:
- All users with access to the job can see every Job Comment by default.
- If you tag an individual with their @handle, they’ll receive a notification (email + dashboard, depending on their settings).
- If you use @hiringteam, all users with access to the job will receive a notification (as long as their @mention notifications are enabled).
- Regardless of email notification settings, all users see relevant notifications on their dashboard.
How are Job Comments different from Applicant Comments?
Job Comments are tied to the job itself and visible to everyone with access to that job. They’re best for discussions about the overall position, hiring strategy, or updates that apply to all applicants.
Applicant Comments live within an individual applicant’s file and focus on feedback or notes specific to that person’s application.
