The hiring system provides the ability to 'Repost Job' which extends the refresh cycle of a position for another three AutoRefresh cycles, totaling 90 days, when the job nears the end of its cycle. This provides additional recruiting time for companies with jobs that take a longer time to fill or those that will be hiring multiple positions from the same job posting. When the job is reposted, it will appear to both job seekers and the job boards as a new position. Internally in your ATS, all applicants will appear in the same job for processing while maintaining the original posting date. The repost process to extend a job's visibility can be repeated infinitely until the job is Archived. The system will display the "Repost" button only when you are within ten days of the current end of the existing AutoRefresh cycle or starting at day 80 of the current posting.
Follow these steps to Repost a job:
- Select Jobs from the menu and open a job by clicking the Job Title.
- From the Applicant Queue, click the REPOST button which is displayed at minimum 10 days prior to the AutoRefresh expiring which happens at ninety days.
- If the Repost button is not available, it is either before the minimum 10 days prior to AutoRefresh expiration, AutoRefresh was never enabled on the job, or the job has been Archived.
- The on-screen popup explains that once the existing AutoRefresh cycle concludes at 90 days it will be "Paused" internally for 36 hours and then automatically unpaused. To confirm the scheduled Repost, click YES.
- After the required system pause, the job data automatically submitted to the Job Boards will be updated with a new external ID making it appear as a newly posted position to job seekers and the job will be returned to your career site.
- Internally, all submitted applications will be collected within the original position.
After completing the process to repost the job, the changes will logged in the Job History Stream documenting the User who performed the action and when they did it. The job will be sent back to the job boards after the required pause.
Repost a job FAQ:
Q: Why don't I see the "Repost" button?
A: The button may not be visible for a number of reasons. Individual job settings determine the availability of 'Repost Job' within each position. If the option isn't available within a specific job, it will require AutoRefresh to be enabled on the position or it is before the final AutoRefresh cycle.
Q: Why can't I take action on the job during the waiting period before the job reposts?
A: When the Repost is pending, no additional actions can be made to the position prior to it returning to Posted job status other than the Repost being canceled.
