Job Templates can be created and customized using job elements to be as simple or as complex as required. Your hiring system will differentiate between Job Templates that have been Completed and Drafts. Any time a user starts to create a job template and saves after Step #1 but does not complete all three steps, it will be saved as a Draft.
A live job posting can only be made from a Completed job template rather than from a Draft. When Step #3 of a template in Drafts is saved, it will move to Completed and be available for posting.
Editing a Job Template Draft
Editing a job template Draft will make changes for all future uses of the template; however, it will continue to remain in Drafts if Step #3 is not saved.
- Select Job Templates then Drafts from the menu.
- Find a template by entering at least 3 consecutive letters of the template name in the "Search Job Templates" text box. The results will be returned automatically.
- Click the ⋮ menu for the job template draft you want to update and select Edit or click the template title from the job template list.
- Review and edit the selected template content:
- Step #1 review Information Elements and click CONTINUE to proceed. (Template will remain as a Draft.)
- Step #2 review Applicant Elements and click CONTINUE to proceed. (Template will remain as a Draft.)
- Step #3 review Processing Elements and click SAVE AND CONTINUE to proceed. (Template will be moved to Completed.)
Note: If you'd like to create a similar template with different elements, click the ⋮ menu to clone the draft.
Deleting a Job Template Draft
Deleting a job template draft will remove it from the hiring system.
- Select Job Templates then Drafts from the menu.
- Click the ⋮ menu for the job template draft you want to delete and select Delete.
- You will be prompted to confirm you want to delete the draft. To proceed, click Yes. (This action can not be reversed.)
- A pop-up will confirm the success of the deletion.
Note: Since a posted job can only be made from a completed job template, any draft versions of a template could never have been used for a live job posting.
Posting a Job Template
A posted job can only be made from a Completed job template. If the job you are trying to post is in Draft, each job template step must be reviewed and saved before you can use the template to post a job, including Step #3. This will move the job template from the Draft tab to the Completed tab. At this time, the Post Job button in the ⋮ menu of the completed job template will be enabled.
