KeldairHR provides each Applicant Tracking System with the option to use CompuFACT, a one-way integrated background check service. CompuFACT is an international background check and drug screen provider with over twenty-five years of expertise. Since their inception in 1994, CompuFACT has been known for its forward-thinking “firsts,” such as instant MVRs, SSN checks, and government registry report turnaround speeds. After you register and activate Compufact, you can initiate a background check from within a job applicant's file, and the results can be viewed within CompuFACT.
Creating a CompuFACT Account
Creating a CompuFACT account can be done by an account administrator. After logging in to your KeldairHR account, select Marketplace > Background Checks from the menu. Click Learn More on the CompuFACT card to read about this one-way integrated feature, including the background check packages and pricing designed to fit your hiring needs.
To proceed with the registration, click the link within the Get Started section to contact CompuFACT for a consultation and to create your CompuFACT account. Once credentialed, you will be notified by email that the integration is ready for activation, set-up, and use.
Note: If CompuFACT is activated in the KeldairHR Marketplace without registering as a customer and/or without adding it to a Workflow, background checks will not be processed. If you are having registration issues, please reach out to your KeldairHR Account Manager for assistance.
CompuFACT Activation
When you are notified that your company has been credentialed, you can activate CompuFACT in your applicant tracking system.
- Select Marketplace from the menu and then Background Checks.
- On the CompuFACT card, click Learn More.
- To activate this one-way integration, use the switch to toggle from Inactive to Active.
Follow the steps below to assign a background check step to your workflow and start using CompuFACT in your hiring process.
Using CompuFACT
Once activated, this service is ready to be added to one or more applicant processing workflows. After adding CompuFACT as a step in a workflow, it will be available for use in each applicant's file when processing the applicant using that workflow.
Assigning CompuFACT to a workflow
- Select Processing Elements from the menu.
- From the Workflow, click the ⋮ menu and select Edit.
- Insert a custom background check step:
- From the desired stage, click +Add Custom Step and then add a Step Name and Step Description.
- Select Use Integration from the drop-down and choose CompuFACT from the list.
- Click SAVE to add this custom step to the Stage.
- Rearrange the step order by dragging and dropping the steps within the stage.
- To finalize the Workflow edits, click SAVE.
- The background check step will now appear for use in all applicant files using that workflow.
Processing an applicant's background check with CompuFACT
When processing a job applicant in a workflow that contains a background check step, you'll be able to initiate a background check within their applicant file. After initiating a background check, the job applicant receives a system-generated email request to provide the information needed to complete an investigation. After clicking a link in the email, the applicant navigates to CompuFACT's secure environment and is directed to enter all required information. Once completed, CompuFACT performs the check per the selected package. Background checks are quickly processed by CompuFACT. When complete, they send an email link to the hiring team to view the results.
Deactivating CompuFACT
If CompuFACT is deactivated, applicants with background checks in progress will be completed. Your existing background check notes within the Applicant File will be retained in each Applicant File by KeldairHR in case you would like to reactivate it in the future.
Follow these steps to deactivate CompuFACT:
- Select Marketplace from the menu then Background Checks.
- On the CompuFACT card, click Learn More.
- Use the switch to toggle from Active to Inactive.
- Confirm by selecting, YES, TURN THIS INTEGRATION OFF.
- A success notification will confirm the deactivation of CompuFACT background checks.
Note: Deactivating CompuFACT from the KeldairHR Marketplace will not automatically remove related steps from existing Workflows. They will need to be updated separately.
