Indeed is a free job board integrated into your ATS that expands the visibility of your jobs so your organization can reach the most job seekers possible. Using Indeed will send your jobs automatically to the world's largest job board. When combined with Indeed Apply, their job application shortcut for job seekers with registered Indeed profiles, candidates can quickly apply to your open jobs.
1.) Activating or Deactivating Indeed
By default, Indeed is activated in your online hiring center. To disable or reactivate this feature, go to Admin > Applicant Sources. Select Indeed from the Source column and use the available switch. A notification will confirm the setting was saved.
- If you are disabling the applicant source for Indeed, then Indeed Apply will be made inactive automatically.
- If you are reactivating the Indeed Apply feature, and Indeed is also inactive, both applicant sources will be made active.
2.) Primary Indeed Contact
Indeed requires a Primary Job Board Contact for job feed authentication. The email for the first administrator registered for your account is set as the default designated contact; however, an alternative user can be designated from the available user list if needed.
-
Click Admin > Applicant Sources from the main menu and click on Indeed.
-
Use the toolbar to Search Users by entering at least 3 consecutive letters in the first name or last name.
-
Click the User's name to designate them as the Primary Job Board Contact.
-
A success notification will confirm the point of contact has been updated.
Note: If an account administrator disables Indeed as an applicant source and then reactivates it, the previously designated contact will remain.
3.) Location Details
Activating the Location Details of the Indeed Applicant Source will result in the "Location Name" from the Org Chart being appended to your Organization or "Company Name" in the public Indeed feed when you post a job. For example, the Company Name (Location Name) will be displayed as "Restaurant Group (South Side Cafe)". For organizations that require multi-branding or have multiple locations, using Location Details can further clarify your job postings to attract the right job seekers and improve your Indeed feeds. This is a global setting and cannot be used for individual locations or on a job-by-job basis. See more about Setting up the Organizational Chart to review how your jobs will appear.
By default, Indeed Location Details is turned Off in your online hiring center. To activate or deactivate this feature, go to Admin > Applicant Sources. Select Indeed from the menu and use the available switch in the Location Details section.
Note: The Location Name field can be used for internal reference only if the Location Details in the Indeed Applicant Source is deactivated.
