The Organizational Chart is a reflection of your organization's structure. This is a necessary part of the applicant tracking system, as it serves as the origin of posted job locations, which are required by all major job boards. The Org Chart provides for Regions and SubRegions (both of which are optional and usually used by larger organizations), as well as Locations, a requirement of all organizations. In order to configure your organization, go to Admin > Organization > Org Chart. Account Administrators have the necessary permissions to set up the structure of the Organization.
Organizational chart examples include:
- Listing individual business sites or stores separately as Locations
- Adding multiple Regions with locations directly under each
- Establishing geographical Regions and SubRegions with Locations underneath (as shown below)
With the possibility of multi-branding with Sub-Brands and multiple locations within an organization, specifically in one geographic area, the Location Name field can be used to enter a unique name or identifier such as Warehouse, Site A, Store #102, etc. and optionally assigned to a Sub-Brand. The text typed in the Location field can be found in the Location drop-down in Step #4 when posting a job and is displayed in the location column on a user's My Jobs tab. Additionally, when used in combination with activating the Location Details of the Indeed Applicant Source, the Location Name and Sub-Brand will be appended to the Organization Name in the Indeed feed.
Note: The Location Name field can be used for internal reference only if the Location Details in the Indeed Applicant Source is deactivated.
