There are fundamental differences between the positions that exist in your Job Template library vs. Posted jobs that exist on your My Jobs or All Jobs tab.
Job Templates
A Job Template is a fully-populated position stored in your library that includes its own Information Elements (Department, Employment Type, Company Description, Job Description, & Benefits), Applicant Elements (Education History, Employment History, References, Certifications, & Question Sets), and Processing Elements (Workflow).
Job templates in your library are independent of any Location in your Org Chart. Therefore, they have no address information. Assigning the job to a specific Location will be required in Step #4 of the job posting process. Address information will be inherited automatically from the Location details in the Org Chart to which the job is assigned.
Note: Creating a Job Template does NOT make a job posting available to applicants. You must take the next step to post the job, which is what makes it available to your career site and active job boards to which your system feeds.
Posted Jobs
The action of posting a job must be performed directly from a job template, and each posted job from that template will be given a unique Job ID in the system. The elements and content of your template then become the online application that a job seeker fills out. You can use a job template to post a job numerous times to various locations within your Org Chart. The assigned locations will be displayed on your Career Site and used throughout the system to filter results and provide metrics.
Administrators will have access to every posted (and paused) job from the All Jobs tab. System users who are assigned as a member of the hiring team will be able to view posted (and paused) jobs from their My Jobs tab. Users can be assigned as part of Step #4 at the time of posting or from the job's Hiring Team tab after opening the job from the My Jobs or All Jobs tab (depending on user permissions).
Note: Account administrators who want details of posted jobs to reflect in the Dashboard should be added to the hiring team of those jobs.
