Company Description is an Information Element that can be used in a job posting to inform applicants all about your company. Selecting a company description is a required job template field chosen on a job-by-job basis.
Creating a Company Description
Use the following steps to create a Company Description to tell applicants about your company.
- Click +Create Company Description.
- Enter a Company Description Name.
- Enter your Company Description text.
- Click Save to add the company description to your library.
Adding a Company Description to a Job Template
One or more Company Descriptions can be imported into a job template during Step 1, adding Information Elements, or can be created at the time of posting a job. See more about Creating Job Templates.
Company Descriptions in a Job Posting
When an applicant opens a job from your Career Site, a job board, or a tracking link, the text of the selected company description will appear in the details of the job posting.
Working with Company Descriptions
Company Descriptions are an Information Element in your hiring system and represent a library of company descriptions that can be imported into your job templates. Click the ⋮ menu of an existing company description to Clone, Edit, or Delete.
Clone: To build a similar company description quickly, you can clone a company description, make your changes, and save it under a new title.
Edit: Editing the company description is a good option if you have changes that you would like to include in all future job templates. If the company description was used within templates and/or posted jobs, the changes will be applied to all templates, but the company description in any posted jobs will not be changed.
Delete: Deleting a Company Description will remove it from the hiring system. Performing this action cannot be reversed. If you attempt to delete a Company Description assigned to one or more jobs, the system will prompt you to select a replacement Company Description prior to deleting. The selected Company Description will be replaced in all locations where it is used regardless of current job status.
